Anne Symbas joined Georgia Skin Specialists in 2012. A native of Atlanta, Anne graduated as an alpha omega from the Westminster Schools where her passion for dermatology developed through a close family friend. She went on to attend the University of Georgia and earn her bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development.
Anne has always loved working with children and, therefore, decided to pursue a career in nursing. She earned her post graduate bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Emory University where she graduated in the top of her class from the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honorary Nursing Society and is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Today she remains involved with Emory and participates as an active board member of the Nursing Alumni Board and the Annual Giving Board. Anne practices general adult and pediatric dermatology and spent a year under the tutelage of Dr. Diane Duvall training under her expertise.
In her spare time, Anne loves spending time with her family, running, and cooking. As a young practitioner in dermatology, she is excited about any and all advancements in the technical and scientific aspects of the field.
