Dr. Linda M. Benedict founded Georgia Skin Specialists in 2001. Dr. Benedict is is a Florida native who received her undergraduate degree from Emory University. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and then completed residencies in both Family Practice and Dermatology. She also served as Chief Resident of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Benedict practiced dermatology in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. She is board certified, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Georgia Society of Dermatologists, the Atlanta Dermatological Association, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
In 2007, Dr. Benedict was named Supervising Physician of the Year by the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistant Organization. She had also been featured on the national TV show, “Heartbeat of America,” and was named a Georgia Top Doc for 2020.
Dr. Benedict is married to Dr. Alan Benedict, an ophthalmologist in Marietta, who has also recently retired. They are looking forward to enjoying their retirement together, spending more time with their three beautiful daughters and one grandson.
Now that Dr. Linda M. Benedict is retired from practicing medicine, she will have more time to pursue her hobbies, which include photography, painting and spending time with her family! Dr. Linda Bendict and her husband are excited to embark on this new chapter in their lives, focusing on family, personal interests and making the most of their well-deserved retirement.
